FIM PII South Sulawesi Holds First Muswil, Increasing Collaboration and Leadership Regeneration

The Young Engineers Forum (FIM) of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) South Sulawesi Region successfully held its first Regional Conference (Muswil) at the Grand Imawan Hotel, Makassar.

This event began with a national seminar with the theme "Collaboration of Young Engineers to Impact and Empower the South Sulawesi Region." This seminar was attended by various young professionals and influential engineers, as well as five prominent speakers who discussed various topics related to the role of young engineers in regional development.

This national seminar featured a number of important figures who provided valuable insight into the role of young engineers in creating a positive impact in South Sulawesi. Among them are:

  1. Prof. Ir. Lambang Basri Said, M.T., Ph.D., ATU – South Sulawesi PII Expert Council.
  2. Ir. Habibie Razak, FIEAus., EngExec., IntPE(Aus) – Executive Director of the PII Central Management.
  3. Ir. Haudhi Ramdayuza, S.T., IPM, ASEAN ENGINEER – Chairman of the Central FIM PII.
  4. Teguh Iswara Suardi, S.T., M.Sc – Member of the DPR RI Commission V.
  5. Ir. Muh. Agung Triady Putra, S.T., IPM – Chairman of FIM South Sulawesi.

Discussions in the seminar emphasized the importance of collaboration between the engineering sector, government and society to build a strong foundation for sustainable development. The speakers agreed that young engineers have a vital role in creating positive change, not only at the local level, but also globally.

After the seminar, the event continued with the Regional Conference (Muswil), which was attended by 14 FIM branches out of a total of 19 registered branches. This Muswil is also an important event in the process of leadership regeneration at the regional level.

In this forum, Teguh Iswara Suardi, S.T., M.Sc was elected as the new Chairman of FIM PII South Sulawesi, replacing Ir. Muh. Agung Triady Putra, S.T., IPM. Teguh Iswara Suardi, who previously served as Head of International Cooperation at FIM Sulsel, conveyed his vision and mission to better accommodate the aspirations of young engineers. "I hope that FIM South Sulawesi will play an increasingly active role in various strategic initiatives that provide broad benefits to society," he said.

Ir. Muh. Agung Triady Putra, the outgoing Chairman of FIM South Sulawesi, also gave a welcoming speech full of hope. As an environmental engineering practitioner, Agung believes that FIM Sulsel will continue to be a forum for young engineers to grow and make real contributions. "Whoever the leader is, FIM South Sulawesi must remain a home for young engineers to develop and have a positive impact on society," said Agung.

This event was also characterized by a strong spirit of regeneration and collaboration, marking a new milestone in the journey of FIM PII South Sulawesi. Under the new leadership, it is hoped that FIM South Sulawesi can be more empowered and make a real contribution to the progress of South Sulawesi, both in the fields of infrastructure, technology and increasing the competence of young engineers in the area.

The first Regional Conference of FIM PII South Sulawesi marked a positive step in strengthening the role of young engineers in regional development. With the new leadership, it is hoped that FIM South Sulawesi can collaborate more with various parties to create a greater impact, as well as being at the forefront of advancing South Sulawesi through innovation and technology..
