Media Construction – Results of the Banda Aceh City Branch Deliberation (MUSCAB) of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) in 2024 determined Ir. Purwandy Hasibuan., ST., M.Eng., IPM., APEC.Eng., ASEAN.Eng as Elected Chair of the Banda Aceh City PII Branch Management for the 2024-2027 Term of Service.

Branch meetings held in the UPT Hall. The USK Integrated Laboratory also produced a work program mandate for the PII Banda Aceh City Branch management for the 2024-2027 period as well as ratifying the Accountability Report (LPJ) for the management for the previous period.

Muscab was opened by the Chair of the PII Aceh Province Regional Management (PW) who was represented by the deputy Chair of the PW, namely Prof. Dr Ir. Taufiq Saidi., M.Eng., IPU. APEC.Eng. "All PII members must be able to utilize all the potential of this organization, especially the PII network which covers the national and international levels," said the Deputy Chairman of PW in his speech.

MUSCAB participants attended online and offline were engineers with professional, government bureaucratic and academic backgrounds with a total membership of Banda Aceh City of 626 people registered in the PII Simponi data base.

Thank you to all muscab participants and all members of PII Banda Aceh City who have trusted him again to lead PII Banda Aceh City for the second period and are ready to continue the programs that have been initiated previously and at the same time will further deepen other programs, especially in the field of cooperation with industry, the Banda Aceh city government and other stakeholders in engineering issues and roles as well as the engineering competencies of Banda Aceh City PII members, concluded Purwandi in his speech as the elected PII chairman with a background as a lecturer in Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Syiah Kuala University.

With the mandate of Engineering Law No. 11 of 2014 and Presidential Decree 25 of 2019, he is confident and optimistic that Banda Aceh City Engineers play a very important role and contribute to the development of Aceh, especially the City of Banda Aceh.

One of the MUSCAB participants, Ir. Rama Satria., ST., M.Eng., IPU, who has a professional background, hopes that the elected Chair will be able to carry out the mandate program well, and be able to realize PII's role in protecting and bridging its members with local government, industrial sectors and related stakeholders in accordance mandate of Law 11/14.

The law clearly states that every person who carries out the profession of Engineer must be someone who holds the title of Engineer (Ir) from a university and has a STRI (Engineer Registration Certificate). There are legal sanctions in article 50.

In article 5, engineering practice includes training and implementation of education, engineering/technology research, consulting services, design and engineering and construction, implementation, supervision and technical maintenance as well as construction, formation, operation and maintenance of assets. "In essence, every professional and bureaucrat who carries out technical implementation that falls within this scope must be an engineer, including a head of technical service within the scope of engineering," he asked.
