Ir Ulul Azmi ST CST IPM ASEAN Eng was elected as chairman of the The Institution Engineers Indonesia (PII) for the Riau Region for the 2024-2027 period in the Regional Conference (Muswil) which was held in Pekanbaru City.

Ulul Azmi is in the national spotlight because he made history as the youngest regional PII chairman in Indonesia, at the age of 30.

In this election, Ulul Azmi had a landslide lead over the other candidates. This shows the great trust that engineers in the Riau region have in their leadership.

Ir Ulul Azmi has a long track record in various organizations, honed from his school days until now.He was once trusted as the chairman of the Lubuk Suhuing MAN OSIS when he was still at school, where he began to show leadership and building abilities networking.

Then chairman of the Student Representative Council of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Bung Hatta University while studying, a strategic position that made him accustomed to designing and leading innovative programs.

Until now, he continues to contribute to various strategic organizations, such as chairman of the PII Riau Province Young Engineers Forum (FIM) (2021-2024).

He brought FIM PII Riau to become the most active and leading organization in Indonesia with various breakthroughs and creative innovations.

Ir Ulul Azmi also serves as chairman of the Pekanbaru City Branch of the PII Organization and Membership Committee (2021-2024). Chair of the K3 Division of the PII Industrial Engineering Vocational Agency (2021-2024).

Apart from that, there is no need to doubt his engineering competence. Ulul has received recognition as ASEAN Eng (ASEAN Engineer), a prestigious recognition that shows credibility and quality as an engineer at the Southeast Asian regional level.

During his leadership, Ir Ulul Azmi, who is also an alumnus of the first batch of Strengthening National Values ​​of LEMHANAS and PII, brought a new spirit with the tagline "Young Engineers Build the Nation and SMART".

SMART, which stands for Synergy, Modern, Adaptive, Religious and Advanced, is the main framework in the PII Riau Region organizational development strategy.

Ulul emphasized the important role of young engineers in advancing the nation through innovation and effective collaboration.Ulul Azmi expressed his gratitude for the trust given. “This is a big trust. As Chair of PII Riau Region, I am committed to strengthening the role of engineers in Riau, increasing competence, and encouraging cross-sector collaboration. "Together, we will build Riau as a center of engineering excellence in Indonesia," he said in his first speech after being elected as chairman of PII Riau.

He is committed to developing wider space for the younger generation to contribute to the development of the engineering profession in Riau and at the national level.

The election of Ulul Azmi received a warm welcome from engineers and stakeholders in Riau. They hope that under the leadership of Ir Ulul Azmi, PII Riau Region will be able to bring positive change and become an example for other regions in Indonesia.
