International Membership

The Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII) is active in various international organizations to expand networks, improve engineering standards, and contribute to the development of the engineering profession at the global level. Membership in these international organizations allows PII to collaborate with engineering professions from different countries, share knowledge and experience, and influence international policies and standards.

PII is a member of several leading international federations and associations, namely:

  • World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO) 
    As a global organization that coordinates engineering professions around the world, WFEO plays an important role in developing international standards and promoting cooperation in the field of engineering. PII's membership in the WFEO allows for active participation in global activities and initiatives that advance the engineering profession.   • ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations (AFEO)
    AFEO is an organization that connects engineering federations in ASEAN countries. By becoming a member of AFEO, PII engages in regional collaborations to improve the quality and standards of engineering in Southeast Asia. Please refer to below link for more information https://afeo.org/
  • Federation of Engineering Institute South East Asia and Pacific (FEISEAP)
    FEISEAP focuses on the development of engineering professionalism in the Southeast Asia and Pacific region. Membership in FEISEAP allows PII to engage in development and knowledge exchange programs in the region. Please refer to below link for more information https://feiap.org/about-fieap/
  • Association of Engineering Education South East Asia and Pacific (AEESEAP)
    AEESEAP plays a role in advancing engineering and engineering education in the Southeast Asia and Pacific region. By becoming a member of AEESEAP, PII can contribute to the development of engineering education curricula and share best practices in engineering education.
  • International Engineering Alliance (IEA)
    The International Engineering Alliance (IEA) is a global not-for-profit organisation, which comprises members from 41 jurisdictions within 29 countries, across seven international agreements. These international agreements govern the recognition of engineering educational qualifications and professional competence. Through the Educational Accords and Competence Agreements members of the International Engineering Alliance establish and enforce internationally bench-marked standards for engineering education and expected competence for engineering practice. PII has holds 3 full signatory membership which consist of APEC Engineers Mobility Agreement, Washington Accord Agreement for Engineering Education and Seoul Accord Agreement for Computing Discipline.
