Determining 3 Main Organizational Priorities, PII General Chair Ilham Habibie Inaugurates Management for the 2024-2027 Period

The New Management Board of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) for the 2024-2027 period was officially inaugurated by the General Chairperson of PII DR.Ing.Ir.Ilham Akbar Habibie,MBA,IPU in a solemn procession with the theme"Re-Industrialization, the Key to Indonesia Gold 2045"takes place at Soehanna Hall, Energy Building, South Jakarta, Monday (20/1).
In his remarks after the inauguration, Ilham Habibie stated that there were 3 things that would be his main priorities in moving the wheels of the organization he leads in the near future.
"The first is Re-Industrialization. PII is committed to encouraging re-Industrialization to realize a Golden Indonesia 2045. Engineers must create jobs for the community. Therefore, we need massive re-industrialization. So, downstreaming is not only in the sector mining, but also extends to other sectors," said the son of the third President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. DR. BJ Habibie enthusiastically.
"The second is the formation of the Indonesian Engineers Council (DII) which is an institution that has the authority to make engineering implementation policies and supervise their implementation. PII must continue to encourage the government to immediately establish DII," said Ilham.
"The third is the internal transformation of the PII organization. As time goes by and the needs of the organization in adapting to the era of digitalization and in order to implement the aspirations of PII stake holders, internal transformation of the organization becomes a necessity," said the man who was born in Aachen, Germany, May 16, 1963. with an optimistic tone.
The inauguration ceremony for the Central Board of the Indonesian Engineers Association for the 2024-2027 period was attended by more than 600 engineers, both in person and online, including the general chairs of PII from the previous period. PII management under the leadership of Dr. Ir. Ilham Akbar Habibie involved engineers from various generations.
The Management Formation is equipped with 9 Deputy General Chairmen for Sectors and 7 Deputy General Chairmen for Committees. Currently PII has 27 Vocational Bodies, 34 regions, 285 branches, 89,195 members, 27,493 SKIP (Professional Engineer Competency Certificate) holders, 31,799 STRI (Engineer Registration Certificate) holders, 3,396 ASEAN Eng Register holders, 699 APEC Eng.Register and 371 ACPE holder.
