The XXIII Congress of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) in 2024 has appointed Prof. Agus Taufik Mulyono (Prof. ATM) as Deputy General Chair for the 2024-2027 period.

Prof. ATM was elected as Deputy General Chair of PII based on the results of the voting conducted at the XXIII PII Congress.

Directly, Prof. ATM will accompany Dr. Ir. Ilham Akbar Habibie, who will become General Chair of PII 2024-2027, replaces Danis Sumadilaga.

As an academic and practitioner who has been involved in the world of engineering and infrastructure for a long time, Prof. ATM has a strategic vision and mission to advance the role of Indonesian engineers in national development.

He emphasized the importance of strengthening the capacity of engineers to be more responsive and adaptive to global dynamics.

“I fight at regional and branch levels. "I am moving with the unity of heart of regions and branches who want changes in PII governance that are more useful and dignified," explained Prof. ATM in his speech, (06/12/2024).

The main vision of Prof. Agus is building an engineering civilization through humanistic engineering practices.

He wants to create an agile and innovative engineering ecosystem, so that it is able to answer the challenges of the era of disruption. In this case, he sees the need for close collaboration between engineers, industry and government to ensure that the works of Indonesian engineers can compete globally.

"Engineers not only work for the present, but also build the future," explained Prof. ATM emphasizes.
