It is known that the opening of the 2024 PII Congress was also attended by the Head of the IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, the Chairman of the National PII Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga as well as the 2021-2024 National PII Management, the Chairman of the 2019-2021 PII, and all the XXIII Congress participants totaling 1,300 participants.

The 2024 PII Congress raised this big theme "Encouraging the Development of Technology Based on Local Wisdom", where according to Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X, this congress is a strategic event to strengthen the contribution of engineers in national development.

Sri Sultan emphasized the importance of integrating local wisdom values ​​with modern technological advances as an effort to create relevant and sustainable solutions. He also appreciated PII for its initiative to encourage culture-based innovation which is characteristic of Indonesia.

Also present were a number of national figures who provided support for PII's role in creating environmentally friendly and locally based technology. Apart from the opening ceremony, the first day of the congress was filled with keynote speech sessions by technology and cultural experts, who discussed the opportunities and challenges of integrating technology and local wisdom in the era of globalization.

"As the theme proposed in this congress, you must at least understand the basic cultural context, namely Creation, Rasa, Karsa, to create work," said Sri Sultan.

"The Karsa philosophy is a noble heritage that permeates human life, also known as the main Tridaya (three powers) in every human being which includes the mind, heart and spirit determination," added Sri Sultan.

He continued, these three elements are not independent entities, but rather a unity that animates each other. He explained that Tridaya acquires true meaning when it is realized in real work that is beneficial for life together.

Creation, said Sri Sultan, is a form of thought, knowledge, insight, logic, and imagination that creates ideas and inspiration, it is a space where logic and creativity meet to form future plans that drive civilization.

He revealed that it is hoped that technology can be used as a material for empowerment, increasing prosperity, excellence and independence of regions and nations so that they are able to compete in the global technological and economic arena.

"May God Almighty bestow His grace so that this congress can become a means of discussion, innovation and cultured engineering," he concluded.
