Rear Admiral TNI Dr. Ir. Abdul Rivai Ras, MM, MS, M.Si, IPU, ASEAN Eng, who is familiarly called Bro Rivai, candidate for Deputy General Chairperson of PII Serial Number 5, emphasized that he will carry out a futuristic transformation to advance PII if he is elected to the Congress early next month.

This, said Bro Rivai, refers to efforts to develop the capabilities and infrastructure as well as the potential of Indonesian engineers by utilizing the latest technology and innovation. This

aims to create a society of engineers that is strong, adaptive, and able to compete at a global level by paying attention to future needs.

The main components in the futuristic transformation of the engineers' union:

1. Utilizing Latest Technologies
   This initiative involves integrating new technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and big data in engineering practices to improve efficiency, productivity, and project quality.
2. Continuous Education
   Futuristic transformation requires engineers to continuously update their skills and knowledge. Education and training programs that focus on the development of new technologies are essential, so that engineers can meet the challenges of an ever-changing industry.
3. Global Collaboration and Connectivity
   To remain relevant, engineering unions must establish international cooperation, including knowledge exchange and networking with engineering organizations from other countries. This is important so that Indonesian engineers are not left behind in global technological developments.
4. Innovation and Entrepreneurship
   Encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship among engineers is also an important part of this transformation. This could include supporting the development of technology startups and projects focused on sustainable solutions, which have the potential to contribute directly to national development.
5. Focus on Sustainability
   Considering environmental impact and sustainability are important factors in future development. This means using sustainable approaches in construction, energy and resource management to create a greener, more environmentally friendly future.

By focusing on the elements above, the futuristic transformation is expected to strengthen the position of the Indonesian engineers' union, making it better prepared to face future challenges and contribute to sustainable and highly competitive national development.
