The first stage of presenting the vision and mission of the candidates for Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) took place smoothly and successfully, Monday 18 November 2024 at Graha Rekayasa Indonesia from 09.00-17.00.

This event was attended by 10 candidates for Deputy General Chair and their socialization teams, representatives from Regions, Branches and Vocational Bodies affiliated with PII.

The 10 candidates who advanced in this election conveyed their vision and mission in front of the participants who attended in a hybrid manner (online and offline), which included plans for organizational development, strengthening engineer competency, and increasing the role of Indonesian engineers at the global level.

The presentation of the vision and mission of the candidates for Deputy Chairman of Umium PII was divided into 2 sessions, where the first session (morning) was for candidates number 1 to 5, then the second session (afternoon) was for candidates number 6 to 10.

After each candidate explained their vision and mission, the question and answer session took place dynamically. Participants submitted questions and input, creating a productive and constructive discussion atmosphere.

Chairman of the Election Committee, lr. Ar. Budi Rahardjo, MM., IPU, ASEAN Eng., IAI., AA, said that this first stage is part of a transparent and accountable democratic process.

"We want to ensure that the candidates selected will truly represent the aspirations of all PII members," he said optimistically.

The next socialization of the Vision and Mission of the PII Deputy General Chair Candidates will be scheduled for November 25 2024.
