The Pidie Branch of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) held a deliberation to elect new management. The Branch Deliberation (Muscab) took place in the Pidie Bappeda Hall which was attended directly by 40 members, Wednesday (20/11/2024).

"This muscab, apart from being attended directly by PII Pidie members, was also attended via zoom vicon by the PII Aceh Regional Management," explained the Chair of the PII Pidie Muscab Committee, Ir. Edward, S.T.

Online, this Muscab was also attended by the Secretary of PII for the Aceh Region, Dr. Ir. Khairul Iqbal., ST., MT., IPM., and Member of the Aceh Region PII Organizational Development Committee, Ir. Purwandy Hasibuan, ST., M.Eng., IPM., APEC.Eng., ASEAN.Eng.

The results of this Muscab, said Edwar, were the election of Ir. Thantawi, S.T., M.T., as Chair of PII Pidie Branch for the 2024-2027 period.

In his speech, after being elected as Chair of the Pidie Branch of PII, Thantawi said that PII is a forum for improving the competence of Engineers.

This is based on Law Number 4 of 2014 concerning Engineering, carrying out the profession, certification and responsibilities as an Engineer.

"We hope that the management and all members of the PII Pidie Branch can synergize and work together to achieve progress and success and can implement the Code of Ethics for Indonesian Engineers, Catur Karsa and Sapta Darm," he said.

Thantawi hopes that PII Pidie can contribute to infrastructure development, disaster, agriculture and other fields of development.

"Let's strengthen collaboration with local governments, educational institutions, as well as all elements of society, with the hope that this solid collaboration can lead Pidie to a more advanced, innovative, competitive direction, of course more prosperous," explained Thantawi at the end of his speech.
