"We will continue to produce engineers who are competitive and add high added value to the welfare and prosperity of the nation," said Kurdi.

Thus, this indicates that Kurdi has been Chairman of PII West Aceh for two terms. Kurdi expressed his hope that the management and members of PII West Aceh can contribute to regional development by creating innovations and developing personal competence.

In front of the engineers, the chairman of the West Aceh Branch of PII, who is also the Head of the West Aceh Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Department, said that the development of the technology sector was in accordance with President Prabowo's Asta Cita, namely strengthening the development of human resources (HR). ), science and technology, education, health, sports achievements, gender equality, as well as strengthening the role of women, youth and people with disabilities.

From these aspirations, he said, engineer competency is really needed, including skilled engineers who are able to create innovations, apply technology, and provide science-based solutions that support the development of human capacity, improving the quality of education, as well as advances in science and technology for sustainability. development.

“Ensuring the Efficiency and Reliability of New Technology, by being able to design, test and optimize newly implemented systems. "Also, being able to understand technical details ensures new technology can operate efficiently and with minimal risk," he added.

This competency is needed by engineers to anticipate damage and optimize machine or system performance without disrupting actual operations.

Seeing the complex competition in the business world and the industrial world today as well as a number of current challenges, he said, there are many things that need to be done, including investment in training and development, conferences and workshops.

"There is also a need to establish partnerships with research educational institutions, in the form of collaboration with universities and research institutions, as well as industrial practical internships," he said.
