SILANEWS-The 72nd Anniversary Celebration of The Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII) took place lively at the PUPR Ministry Auditorium, Friday (31/5).

Event which was held after the PII National Rapimnas was held in a hybrid manner and was attended by approximately 300 participants both offline and online.

At the celebration of the 72nd PII Anniversary, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing People (PUPR), Mohammad Zainal Fatah delivered remarks from the Minister of PUPR who was unable to attend.

'At the age of 72 this year. PII has increasingly demonstrated its strategic role in supporting national development. "There are increasingly complex national and global challenges that will be faced in the future which need to be anticipated by relying on the reliable competence and professionalism of PII," said Zainal.

'Disparities in equitable regional development, development of digital technology, threats of environmental degradation, are several challenges that require handling in order to obtain constructive solutions to resolve them,' he added.

'The PUPR Ministry certainly really supports the synergy efforts initiated and initiated by PII. "Hopefully, we can all support the development of quality, smart and sustainable infrastructure, towards a golden Indonesia 2045," concluded Zainal.

The series of events celebrating PII's 72nd anniversary closed with the cutting of tumpeng led by the General Chair of PII Dr.Ir. Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, M.Eng.SC, IPU, ACPE, APEC Eng and handed over to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Mohammad Zainal Fatah, representing the Minister of PUPR.

The event then continued with Testimonials and birthday greetings from several PII regional representatives from various regions such as West Papua, Central Java, Aceh and South Sulawesi.*
