PII still brings enthusiasm to strengthen the role of engineers in supporting the national re-industrialization process in commemoration of this year. "Since its establishment, PII has played a major role in supporting development in Indonesia in the early independence, we continue to bring that spirit in the 73rd anniversary, together to support the government by providing the best work for Indonesian re-industrialization," said Dr. Ir. Ilham Akbar Habibie, MBA, IPU, as Chairperson of the Indonesian Engineer Association for 2024-2027, in a message delivered online.
Professional Engineers are one of the main assets in re-industrialization efforts. Countries that have succeeded in building their industry have a high number of engineers. Vietnam has around 9,000 engineers per one million inhabitants, while South Korea reaches 25,000 engineers per one million population.
On the occasion of this anniversary celebration this time was also released Theme Song pii, the launch of the PII document e-signature and the awarding to the founders of PII, namely Ir. H. Raden Djoeanda Kartawidjaja and Prof. Dr. Ir. Roosseno Soerjohadikoesoemo. The awarding to the families of the founders of PII was carried out directly by the Secretary General of PII accompanied by the PII Central Board.
