The government emphasizes that re-industrialization is a strategic step to strengthen the competitiveness of the national economy in order to achieve the vision of Indonesia gold 2045. These efforts must be supported by the existence of efficient infrastructure, supporting technology, and superior human resources.

Minister of Public Works, Ir. Dody Hanggodo, M.B.E., emphasized that infrastructure development must be the foundation of national re-industrialization. "We not only build roads and bridges, with this the Ministry of Public Works also ensure infrastructure supports more efficient industry and logistics systems," he explained.

In a meeting between the Ministry of Public Works and the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII), PII Chairperson, Dr.-Ing. Ir. Ilham Akbar Habibie, MBA., Ipu emphasized that the success of re-industrialization depends on the readiness of innovative infrastructure and technology. "If we want the national industry to advance, the ecosystem must be strong. That means efficient infrastructure and supporting technology," he said.

Efficient infrastructure development and target investment are believed to accelerate industry growth while suppressing incremental capital output ratio (ICOR), one thing that is of concern today.

"Investment must produce real growth. Infrastructure development must provide long -term benefits, for that the target of decreasing ICOR is our concern," added Dody Hanggodo who is also the Board of Trustees of PII.

Ilham also highlighted the role of engineers in ensuring appropriate investment. "Indonesian engineers have the expertise to optimize existing resources so that development is more efficient and competitive," he explained.

In the recent Coordination Meeting of the Ministry of Public Works, Minister Dody conveyed the commitment of the Ministry in ensuring national logistics connectivity through the construction of strategic roads, dams, and rehabilitation of irrigation networks to accelerate industrial growth (22/01/25).

It is hoped that these steps are expected to accelerate the re-industrialization and increase economic competitiveness towards Indonesia gold 2045.
