Central Board of Industrial Engineering Vocational Agency (BK TI) Indonesian Engineers Association ( pii) officially inaugurated Ir. Wiza Hidayat ST., GP., IPU., ASEAN Eng. as Chair of the Industrial Engineering BK for the period 2024-2027.

The inauguration was carried out directly by the Chairperson of PII Dr. -ing. Ir. Ilham Akbar Habibie, MBA., Ipu., And witnessed by Deputy Chairperson PII Prof. Agus Taufik Mulyono (Prof. ATM), Chairperson of the BK Advisory Board TI PII Ir. Faizal Safa ST., M.Sc., IPU., ASEAN ENG., ACPE, Chairperson of the BK TI PII Expert Council Ir. Nicke Widyawati MH., IPU, to all BK TI PII members and members who were present, which took place at the JS Luwansa Hotel, Friday, (31/01/2025).

Ilham Habibie advised that PII strongly supports the government's efforts to increase economic growth 8% in the future.

He reiterated that re-industrialization is one of the main things that must be carried out to achieve the government's target. Not only the 8%economy, but downstreaming industry, food self -sufficiency, energy self -sufficiency, and others.

"In supporting re-industrialization requires a big role from engineers. For this reason, PII will continue to collaborate with the government and various parties to play an active role in supporting efforts to grow industries in the country, "said Ilham Habibie.

He said that BK Industrial Engineering PII was one of the professional forums for industrial engineering engineers who played a role in various sectors. The existence of this profession is the key to increasing the efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of the national industry. From manufacturing, logistics, to technology, industrial engineering engineers have a major contribution in ensuring the sustainability and growth of the industrial sector in Indonesia.

"The state will not develop without a strong engineer, because they are the ones who created innovative solutions to answer industry challenges," he added.

Furthermore, he said the strengthening of engineers' competencies became one of the main agendas in national development.

Towards Indonesia Emas 2045, a strong industry is the main requirement to achieve this big vision. BK Industrial Engineering PII committed to encouraging synergy and collaboration between academics, practitioners, and stakeholders to create a global competitive industrial ecosystem.

With the right strategy and support from various parties, he believes that Indonesian industrial engineering engineers can bring significant changes to the progress of the nation.
