The management of the Association of Indonesian Engineers for the West Sumatra Region again elected a new chairman for the 2024-2027 period, Saturday (23/11/2024) at the third floor of the Faculty of Engineering Building, Padang State University (UNP).

Ir Nasirman Chan, ST, MT, IPM, ASEAN, Eng CSE was re-elected by acclamation as Chair of the West Sumatra Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) for the 2024-2027 period. The man who is usually called Aciak was elected at the VII PII West Sumatra Regional Conference (Muswil) on Saturday (23/11/2024).

After being elected by acclamation as Chairman of PII West Sumatra for the 2024-2027 period, Nasirman Chan said that he had prepared a number of breakthroughs that had been prepared, including the formation of branches in areas that had not yet been established in the West Sumatra region, around 14 branches, preparing management programs PSPI on the UNP campus as well as conducting outreach and coordination with the community regarding the engineering law.

"Of the 14 PII branches that have not yet been formed in districts and cities in West Sumatra, those that are of priority include Agam Regency, 50 Cities, Padang Pariaman, Tanah Datar and Pariaman City," said Nasirman Chan.

When asked about the work program for 2024-2027, Nasirman Chan said that the future program will still be the same, namely related to strengthening institutions in all city districts by increasing the number of members, establishing new branches and increasing socialization regarding the Engineering Law

"Internally, we will continue to make constructive efforts to strengthen the human resource competencies of our members so that they are truly effective in supporting development in West Sumatra," he said.

Meanwhile, externally, the party stated that it supports every infrastructure development activity that is oriented towards improving the welfare of the community. For this reason, the ranks of the West Sumatra PII are ready to coordinate and collaborate with related ranks in the government, including the ranks of the West Sumatra Provincial Government. ***
