The South Tangerang Branch of the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) officially carried out the inauguration and inauguration of new management for the 2024-2027 term.

The inauguration and inauguration ceremony for the PII Tangsel Branch management was held at the Tangsel UMKM Building, Jl. Sunburst CBD (BSD), Serpong District, Tangsel City, Friday, (22/11/2024).

This marks the organization's commitment to further strengthening the role of engineers in regional development, especially in South Tangerang.

In his speech, Chairman of PII Tangsel Branch Ir. Hapit Sugandi, ST., IPM., ASEAN Eng., ACPE., conveyed a vision to increase member competency and expand the cooperation network with various parties to support sustainable infrastructure and technology development.

Hapit explained that PII Tangsel Branch has several programs, short, medium and long term. "In accordance with the central mandate, the short-term program is to increase the number of members by at least 50% in 1 year," said Hapit to Media Construction, (22/11/2024).

Furthermore, he said that the medium and long term program, namely PII South Tangerang Branch, would collaborate with stakeholders to socialize the engineering organization (PII) so that it is better known to the wider community.

Regarding future challenges, Hapit said that currently his party will convey the challenges in implementing the National PII Congress. One of the challenges is recruiting new PII members.

"We are currently discussing at the PII Congress what benefits will be obtained for new PII members in the future. "And we hope that this PII STR (registration certificate) can act as an SKK (work competency certificate)," he said.

As is known, the inauguration and inauguration of the Chairman and Management of PII South Tangerang Branch was attended by the Chairman of the Central PII Organizational Development Committee, Dr. Ir. Eden Gunawan, M.M., IPM, ASEAN-Eng, representing the General Chair of PII Central Danis Sumadilaga, Chair of PII Banten Province Ediyanto Arief, and also the PII South Tangerang Expert Council Prof. Manlian Ronald A Simanjuntak, as well as South Tangerang PII Advisory Board Yuwono Imanto.

Eden Gunawan in his speech hoped that the newly appointed leadership of PII Tangsel would be able to take PII Tangsel in a better direction. "Furthermore, PII South Tangerang's programs in the future must be even more grounded," said Eden

"Future programs must be in order and implemented, must be implemented and produce works," he said.

He added, through education and training, the PII organization will form more competent Human Resources, thereby producing better quality engineering masterpieces.

Meanwhile, Yuwono Imanto, who is also the Director of PT Propan Raya, said that PII and Propan Raya have carried out various collaborations in infrastructure development.

"For us, PII really cares about Indonesia's infrastructure development with its engineering. Meanwhile, Propan is a paint manufacturer that relies heavily on technology and innovation, so it can be said that it is in line with its spirit, and we are ready to contribute and support PII's programs in supporting development in Indonesia with the technology we have in the field of paint and coating for building materials and caring for the environment. ," explained Yuwono.
