
Young Engineers Forum of The Institution of Engineers Indonesia (FIM PII) Holds National Gathering (TENAS) 2025, A Strategic Platform for Young Engineers to Address Global Challenges
The Young Engineers Forum of the Indonesian Engineers Association (FIM PII) is once again holding the National Gathering (TENAS) 2025, a strategic event that serves as a platform for national discussions among young engineers in facing global challenges which held at Arion Suites Hotel, Kemang Jakarta, on February 22-23,2025.
Main Agenda: Panel Discussions and Leadership Handover
This event features key agendas, including panel discussions and the handover of the FIM PII Chairmanship from Ir. Haudhi Ramdayuza, S.T., IPM., Asean Eng (FIM PII Chair 2021-2024) to Ir. Isditya Pratama Putra, S.T., IPM. (FIM PII Chair 2024-2027).
Presence of Government Officials and Industry Leaders
TENAS 2025 has been attended by the Deputy Minister of Public Works, Ir. Diana Kusumastuti, M.T., and the Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/BKPM, Todotua Pasaribu, S.T. Their presence reflects the government’s support for strengthening the role of engineers in national development and sustainable investment.
Additionally, several prominent industry leaders and academics will be speakers in the panel discussions, including:

Strengthening Indonesia’s Global Engineering Competitiveness
In her opening speech, Deputy Minister of Public Works, Ir. Diana Kusumastuti, M.T., emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian engineers on a global scale. She highlighted the role of engineers in driving technological innovation, strengthening infrastructure, and advancing industrial downstreaming as key pillars for sustainable economic growth.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry/BKPM, Todotua Pasaribu, S.T., stated that the government, through the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, continues to promote investment policies that favor the development of high-tech and environmentally friendly industries.
"We also invite young engineers to participate in various research and innovation programs that can strengthen the national industrial ecosystem. Collaboration between academics, businesses, and the government must be further reinforced to create synergy in building national competitiveness," he stated.
"I encourage all young Indonesian engineers not only to be technology users but also technology creators. We must dare to innovate, take part in infrastructure, industry, and sustainable technology development. With professionalism and integrity, I believe we can work together to make Indonesia an advanced industrial and technology-based nation," he concluded optimistically.

This panel explores strategies for strengthening research and development ecosystems to create innovations that support sustainable industry and investment growth.

The Young Engineers Forum of the Indonesian Engineers Association (FIM PII) is a national network of young engineers encompassing various disciplines, professions, businesses, communities, and media, both domestically and internationally. This organization is committed to being a professional development platform for young engineers to tackle future industrial and technological challenges.
The outgoing FIM PII Chair (2021-2024), Ir. Haudhi Ramdayuza, S.T., IPM, Asean Eng, stated that FIM PII must continue to build upon its established foundation to achieve even greater success and deliver tangible contributions to the nation.
The newly appointed FIM PII Chair (2024-2027), Ir. Isditya Pratama Putra, S.T., IPM, mentioned in his speech that FIM PII aims to be the Young Engineers Network Center of Indonesia, connecting various fields of science, professions, businesses, communities, and media, both nationally and internationally.
With a strong organizational structure, FIM PII has several development centers, including:

- Center of Research and Technology Development
- Center of Career Development
- Center of Business Investment and Supply Chain
- Center of Community Young Engineers
Moving forward, FIM PII is ready to collaborate with all stakeholders to contribute to the development of the nation and the state.
